[...] Scott Spiegel: Talk about chutzpah. The same chief executive who refused to provide a speck of guidance to one branch of government in crafting his signature legislation is now threatening another branch of government not to overturn it. Does President Obama believe in the separation of powers? You wouldn’t know it from his intemperate comments Monday on the legal challenge to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which the Supreme Court is now deliberating. Just days after skeptical justices had subjected administration lawyers and their opponents to a historic six hours of questioning, and just as the judges were retreating to contemplate the competing claims in private, Obama stood up in the Rose Garden and loudly warned the nine “unelected” rubes that they’d better get this one right.
I've heard at least five versions of what Zimmerman called Martin. It is not remotely certain that he used the term 'coon.' This is a guy with black relatives who was tutoring black children and helping an African American mother raise funds for her all-black church. Black friends of his have stepped forward to insist he wasn't remotely racist.

There is no evidence that Zimmerman disobeyed the dispatcher and continued to follow Martin. He claims he returned to his car, and Martin accosted him. No witnesses have disputed that account.

He was captain of the neighborhood watch patrol and had been trying to stop a rash of burglaries in the community. It is perfectly legal to patrol one's community and approach someone unfamiliar to ask what he is doing there.

Seriously, dude? Seriously? He calls the kid a "f***in' coon" to the dispatcher and says "these people" always get away, was told not to pursue and disobeyed, was told not to get out of his car and disobeyed, was not a Peace Officer, nor a Security Guard, was not in a uniform and had no badge or identifier, was 250 lbs, while the kid was 140 lbs AND had a handgun. The Police did not do a drug or alcohol test on him, he had been arrested for assault and involved in a domestic abuse incident and the Police did not take his clothes, as evidence, nor was he taken to hospital for his "injuries". To my mind, if the inane (sic) insane "Stand Your Ground" statute should have protected anyone, it should have been the kid!!!

Great piece. I'm a Ron Paul / Gary Johnson fan but the attacks on Romney, like the slime-ing of Palin. evoke a sympathetic response.

[...] Romney Paid Through the Nose – Scott Spiegel Of course Romney's forthrightness isn't good enough for the left, who now argue that he must release a dozen or perhaps 20 years of tax records, so we can spend the next ten months scrutinizing them for rounding errors and keep the focus off President Obama's record. … But it's Republicans, including Ronald Reagan, who have foolishly raised capital gains taxes again and again—admittedly often under pressure from overwhelmingly Democratic Congresses.
It's all good, Scott. Anything coming from a brainless fascist like yourself is all good Scott. Maybe it's time to get that repair done, the damage caused when they dropped you on your head after you were born.
